Painan Tax Office Encourages BUMDes and BUMNag to Use Coretax
November 10, 2025 • Ben Asmadeus

The Tax Service, Education, and Consultation Office (KP2KP) in Painan broadcast a tax education program on LPPL Langkisau FM on 29 October 2025. The segment focused on tax issues affecting Village/Nagari-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes/BUMNag).
BUMDes/BUMNag are enterprises established by village or nagari governments to manage local economic potential, ranging from trade and agriculture to tourism and micro‑finance services. They must obtain a Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP) and fulfill tax withholding, payment, and reporting obligations like any other business. Beginning fiscal year 2025, all tax administration, including annual returns, will be processed through the Coretax platform, requiring account activation and a digital certificate.
KP2KP Painan will support the transition by conducting field visits, training sessions, and coordination with regional authorities. The initiative aims to boost tax compliance and strengthen village economic self‑reliance.
