Indonesia's Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported a trade surplus of US$2.39 billion for October 2025. The figures were released on 1 December 2025.

The surplus narrowed from US$4.34 billion in September as exports fell 2.31 % to US$24.24 billion while imports rose 2.19 % to US$21.84 billion. The positive balance was driven by non‑oil commodities such as animal and vegetable fats, mineral fuels, and iron and steel.

Despite the decline, the trade balance has remained in surplus for 66 consecutive months since May 2020, and the cumulative surplus for January‑October 2025 reached US$35.88 billion. This persistent surplus indicates export performance outpacing imports, which can support economic growth.
