The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) recorded that tax receipts from the mineral and coal mining sector (minerba) for January‑November 2025 reached Rp43.3 trillion. The figures were presented by Director of Potential, Compliance and Revenue, Ihsan Priyawibawa, on Friday 12 December 2025.
This amount represents 2.65 % of total national tax revenue. Of the total, mineral mining contributed Rp35.5 trillion and coal contributed Rp7.8 trillion. Minerba receipts typically fluctuate with production volumes and global commodity price changes such as copper, nickel and coal.
The data highlights the sensitivity of tax revenue to international commodity prices, which can affect government fiscal planning. The larger share from mineral mining underscores the sector’s importance to the country’s tax base.
