The Indonesian Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) reported that in 2024 a total of 9,647 tax dispute filings were submitted by taxpayers to the Tax Court. Of these, 7,458 were appeals and 2,189 were lawsuits. The cases were handled throughout the calendar year.

The Tax Court issued 13,978 judgments, including 11,478 on appeals and 2,500 on lawsuits. The rulings covered categories such as Cancel, Add, Partially Grant, Fully Grant, Remove from Dispute, Reject, Not Accepted, and Correct Errors, reflecting varied outcomes. The tax authority noted that decisions classified as Reject, Remove from Dispute, Not Accepted, and Add amounted to 4,353 rulings in its favor.

Overall, the 13,978 judgments resulted in a win rate of 44.14 percent for the tax authority, up from 41.14 percent in 2023. The rise reflects improved handling of tax disputes by the agency. These figures offer taxpayers and analysts insight into the evolving resolution of tax conflicts in Indonesia.
