Digital Tax Revenue Hits 42.53 Trillion Rupiah by Sep 2025

The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) of the Ministry of Finance reported that total tax collection from the digital economy reached Rp42.53 trillion up to 30 September 2025. The figure reflects taxes levied through several digital tax instruments.

The collection comprises Value‑Added Tax on e‑commerce (PPN PMSE) of Rp32.94 trillion, crypto tax of Rp1.71 trillion, fintech tax of Rp4.1 trillion, and SIPP tax of Rp3.78 trillion. DGT has appointed 246 companies as PMSE VAT collectors, of which 207 have remitted taxes cumulatively.

The result highlights the digital sector as a major source of state revenue, and the government plans to strengthen collection mechanisms to ensure fairness and keep pace with technological developments.
