How to Merge Husband and Wife NPWPs via Coretax DJP
December 3, 2025 • Ben Asmadeus

The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) has launched an online service to merge husband‑and‑wife NPWPs (Tax Identification Numbers) via the Coretax portal. The service became available on 3 December 2025 on the DJP website. Married taxpayers can start the procedure immediately.
Merging NPWPs allows spouses to file taxes jointly, eliminating duplicate records and simplifying administration. The steps are: log in to Coretax, select “Merge NPWP”, upload the marriage certificate, verify the information, and submit the request. All documents are processed electronically.
After submission, DJP issues a combined NPWP within the standard processing time, enabling the couple to use a single number for future filings. Employers can update employee records more easily. The measure contributes to greater efficiency in the national tax system.
