How to Activate a Coretax Account for Taxpayers in 2025

The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) launched Coretax on 1 January 2025 as a unified platform that replaces DJP Online. The new system consolidates registration, reporting, payment, audit and collection functions in a single modern portal. All taxpayers registered before 2025 are required to activate a Coretax account.

To activate, taxpayers visit fill in complete identity data including NIK, email and mobile number, and upload a facial photo for biometric verification. After verification, DJP sends an email containing the User ID (NIK) and password for Coretax login. Taxpayers must then create a DJP Authorization Code (KO DJP) via the “My Portal” menu, which serves as an electronic signature for tax returns and other filings.

Without an activated account and KO DJP, taxpayers cannot access services or file the 2025 annual tax return (SPT). Early activation speeds up filing and avoids rejections caused by mismatched data. Consequently, all taxpayers are advised to complete activation before the filing season begins.
