Complete Guide to Getting DJP Authorization Code on Coretax
October 26, 2025 • Ben Asmadeus

The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) announced that tax return (SPT) filing must be done through the Coretax system, and from the 2025 tax year taxpayers must have a DJP authorization code or an electronic certificate. The authorization code is an electronic signature issued directly by the DJP. Taxpayers can request it online via their Coretax account.
For those without a certificate from an Electronic Certificate Provider, the DJP offers the authorization code as an alternative. The request is made by logging into Coretax, selecting the Authorization Code request menu, creating a passphrase, and submitting the application. Once approved, the code becomes valid and can be used to sign tax documents.
The code enables taxpayers to sign and submit SPT electronically without visiting a tax office, streamlining administrative procedures. It has a defined validity period and can be renewed through Coretax, ensuring continuous digital service. This rollout supports the broader digital transformation of Indonesia’s tax administration.
