The University of Indonesia's Tax Administration program and its student association organized the Grand Talkshow Tax Competition UI 2025 on 31 October 2025 at the Vokasi Auditorium. The event, part of the competition’s seventh edition, attracted students from across Indonesia and featured professional speakers in taxation.
The theme "Amplifying Tax Policy within The New Government Era: The Impact on Tax Revenues to Navigate Economic Growth" highlighted how tax policy can drive economic growth under the new administration. Program head Thesa Adi Purwanto pointed out the emerging role of artificial intelligence (AI) in tax administration and urged students to become innovators rather than displaced workers. HMP chair Faiz Ghossan added that understanding fiscal policy is essential for young professionals facing economic shifts.
The talkshow offered insights into the intersection of tax policy, technology, and human resources while expanding networking opportunities for participants. Emphasis on innovation and collaboration aims to strengthen students' contributions to more efficient future tax administration.
