UI Faculty Lecturers Teach Tax Morale to 176 High School Students

On 29 October 2025, lecturers from the Department of Fiscal Administration (DIAF) at the University of Indonesia’s Faculty of Administration conducted a community‑service event at SMAN 1 Purwokerto. Led by Arfah Habib Saragih, the program reached about 176 senior‑high‑school students.

The session emphasized tax morale (the willingness to pay taxes honestly) and explained how taxes fund public welfare. The presenters cited international research showing that early tax education improves future compliance and highlighted the role of trust in government.

Survey results indicated an average tax‑knowledge score of 6.15 out of 10, and participants valued the training at roughly Rp173,267 per person. The organizers hope the positive feedback will encourage similar initiatives to build tax awareness among Indonesia’s youth.
