DJBC Boosts Customs and Excise Literacy Among Students
October 30, 2025 • Ben Asmadeus

The Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) held public lectures for university students at several campuses on 30 October 2025. The events involved DJBC offices in Kendari, Pangkalpinang and South Kalimantan.
The aim was to boost customs‑excise literacy—understanding of import duties and export taxes—and to explain DJBC’s role in supporting the national economy, services, supervision and state revenue. Lectures at Universitas Halu Oleo, Universitas Bangka Belitung and the Fiscal Tech Harmony forum at Universitas Lambung Mangkurat highlighted DJBC’s contribution to the State Budget (Anggaran Pendapatan dan Belanja Negara, APBN).
Collaboration with academia is intended to deepen young professionals’ grasp of fiscal policy and strengthen the skilled workforce needed for trade. The initiative may improve compliance and increase revenue collection.
