November 5, 2025 • Ben Asmadeus

The Statistics Agency (BPS) reported that Indonesia’s economy expanded by five point zero four percent year‑on‑year in the third quarter of 2025. Nominal gross domestic product (GDP) reached Rp6.060 trillion, while constant‑price GDP was Rp3.444,8 trillion. The figures were released on 5 November 2025.
Quarter‑to‑quarter growth was 1.43 percent, lower than the second quarter, reflecting the typical seasonal pattern where Q3 growth trails Q2. Manufacturing, agriculture, trade and construction contributed positively, whereas mining remained in contraction. Transport and warehousing showed the strongest sectoral increase at 8.62 percent.
The results indicate continued economic expansion, albeit at a slower pace than the previous quarter, providing a stable outlook for businesses and taxpayers. Authorities may use the data to fine‑tune fiscal policies and support lagging sectors. Ongoing monitoring will be needed to sustain growth.
