Bank Indonesia released its October 2025 Consumer Survey showing the Consumer Confidence Index (CCI) at 121.2. This marks an increase from 115.0 in September 2025, indicating higher public optimism about the economy.
The rise was driven by the Current Economic Conditions Index (CECI) reaching 109.1 and the Consumer Expectations Index (CEI) at 133.4. Households spending more than IDR 5 million recorded the highest CCI (125.3), and respondents aged 20‑30 years posted an index of 125.0.
The improvement was observed in most surveyed cities, notably Medan, Pontianak and Padang, and was supported by gains in income, durable‑goods purchase, and job‑availability indices. The figures suggest a continued strengthening of public perception of domestic economic growth.
