Transport Ministry offers incentives to lower flight tickets for

The Transport Ministry issued special measures to lower flight ticket prices during the Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 period. The measures apply to flights from 22 December 2025 to 10 January 2026, with tickets purchased between 22 October 2025 and 10 January 2026.

The incentives include a 2 % cut to jet fuel surcharge, a 20 % cut to propeller fuel surcharge, a 50 % reduction in passenger service fees, a 50 % cut to landing, parking and storage fees, and lower avtur prices at 37 airports. These measures complement the 6 % PPN DTP relief granted by the Finance Ministry under PMK 71/2025.

Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi said the steps ensure the public can travel by air at affordable rates during the holiday season. With the incentives, the value‑added tax on tickets falls to 5 % of reimbursement, easing the cost burden for passengers and supporting the airline sector.
