PKB Arrears in Bengkulu Reach Rp1 Trillion for 905,826 Units

The Bengkulu Provincial Council reported that vehicle tax arrears (PKB) had reached Rp1 trillion as of October 2025. The arrears involve 905,826 vehicles, including private, corporate and government fleets.

Private vehicles account for the bulk of the debt, with 878,993 units owing Rp923.8 billion. Corporate-owned vehicles total 9,171 units with arrears of Rp63.8 billion, while 17,662 provincial government vehicles add Rp19.1 billion. Commission I member Edwar Samsi said collection remains a pending task for the provincial administration.

The council urged the provincial government to initiate enforcement actions and issue billing notices to boost the province’s own-source revenue (PAD). Bengkulu has also amended Regional Regulation No. 7/2023, lowering the PKB rate to 1 % and reducing the maximum BBNKB and PBBKB rates.
