Kupang Mayor Launches November 2025 PBB-P2 Tax Amnesty

Kupang Mayor Christian Widodo signed Decision Letter (SK) No. 200/KEP/HK/2025 establishing a service for Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax (PBB-P2). The measure removes administrative sanctions for taxpayers with arrears up to the 2025 tax year and is effective throughout November 2025.

The policy aims to accelerate regional revenue realization and ease the public’s burden by cancelling current‑year and previous‑year penalties. The City Revenue Office (Bapenda) extended the payment deadline from August 2025 to 31 October and then offered a November‑long amnesty, supported by door‑to‑door outreach under the Bapenda Ceria program.

Eliminating fines is expected to boost local revenue and improve tax compliance, while the more humane service approach strengthens public trust. Taxpayers have one month to settle the principal amount without penalties.
