Exchange Rate 22‑28 Oct 2025: Rupiah Weakens vs US Dollar

Jakarta, 22‑28 Oct 2025 – The tax exchange rate used for settling VAT, luxury goods tax and import duties was set by Finance Minister Decree No 21/MK/EF.2/2025. During this week the rupiah weakened to IDR 16,581 per US dollar.

The depreciation followed a brief appreciation in the previous week. The rupiah also slipped against the euro to IDR 19,288.78 from IDR 19,288.20, while it remained stronger against the Singapore dollar at IDR 12,788.50, down from IDR 12,795.92.

These rate changes affect the amount taxpayers must remit for imported goods and luxury items. All tax payments for the period will be calculated using the rates effective in the 22‑28 Oct 2025 window.
