Coretax Upgrade Delayed, Full Control Set for December 2025
October 27, 2025 • Ben Asmadeus

Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa announced that the promised completion of Coretax system improvements by the end of October 2025 will not be achieved. The statement was made during a press briefing at the Ministry of Finance in Jakarta on 27 October 2025.
The delay stems from software components that remain under a contract with the LG CNS Qualysoft Consortium, the vendor that developed Coretax for an estimated cost of IDR 1.3 trillion. Deloitte Consulting, selected for project management and quality assurance with a contract worth IDR 110.3 billion, also limits immediate access to the source code.
Full control, including the source code, is expected to be transferred to the Ministry of Finance in December 2025, after which the Directorate General of Taxes can implement changes independently. Meanwhile, the internal IT team continues to fix the modules that are already accessible to minimize impact on taxpayers.
