Buleleng Extends Promo Merdeka and Motor Tax Amnesty to Dec 15

Buleleng regency has extended the Promo Merdeka land‑tax amnesty and motor‑tax penalty waiver until 15 December 2025. The extension aims to support residents and boost regional tax compliance. It covers taxpayers with PBB‑P2 arrears from 1994‑2020 and owners of Bali‑registered vehicles.

Under Promo Merdeka, principal arrears of PBB‑P2 are cleared automatically through the SMARTGOV system without manual applications, provided eligibility criteria are met. The motor‑tax amnesty lets vehicle owners settle overdue tax without fines, including removal of progressive tax and BBNKB II charges. Taxpayers can also print their Tax Assessment Notices (SPPT) themselves via the Panji Den Bukit digital portal.

More than 5,200 taxpayers have used the scheme, resulting in tax relief of nearly IDR 8 billion. Self‑printing of SPPT is expected to lower office visits and speed up regional revenue collection. Authorities anticipate the measures will encourage broader public participation in local development through timely tax payments.
