Tax Authority Urges SMEs Not to Split Businesses to Evade Tax

The Ministry of Finance announced it will follow up on business‑splitting practices by SMEs that aim to exploit the final‑tax scheme for micro‑businesses. Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa stressed the need for a joint database with the Law Ministry to detect such actions.

The Tax Directorate is developing a Financial Reporting Single Window (PBPK) through the Financial Sector Stability and Development Agency to standardize financial statements and reduce discrepancies between reports and received data. This platform is intended to lay the groundwork for cooperative compliance between the tax authority and taxpayers.

DJP is also urging all government communication units to promote Coretax account activation as the first step toward filing the 2025 annual income tax return.
