KPP Klaten Seizes Six Vehicles Over Rp2.67 Billion Tax Arrears

The Klaten Tax Office seized six motor vehicles—three motorcycles, one car and two open trucks—from three taxpayers who owed Rp2.67 billion in taxes. The assets were placed in the tax office’s yard and sealed by a state tax seizure officer.

The seizure follows Law No.19/2000 on Tax Collection with Forced Letters and Ministerial Regulation No.61/PMK.03/2023, after a series of persuasive steps such as warning letters, forced notices and seizure orders. Tax arrears in the Klaten region total Rp14.81 billion across 7,917 taxpayers.

Taxpayers have 14 days to settle the debt; otherwise the assets will be auctioned by the State Asset and Auction Office. Officials say the action aims to educate and encourage compliance.
