Karanganyar Tax Office Seizes 1981 Toyota Pickup Over Unpaid Tax

On 15 October 2025, the Karanganyar Tax Office (KPP Pratama Karanganyar) seized a 1981 Toyota pickup in Sragen Regency. The vehicle was confiscated because the taxpayer failed to settle the tax debt despite receiving a compulsory notice.

The seizure was part of the Simultaneous Seizure (Sita Serentak) operation organized by the Central Java II Regional Directorate of the Directorate General of Taxes from 13 to 17 October 2025. State Tax Seizure Officer (JSPN) Yessie Haifa Ghassani and Inspection Head Agus Masdianto affixed a seal to the vehicle and signed the seizure report, which valued the pickup at approximately Rp20 million. Prior to the seizure, the tax office had issued reminder, warning, and compulsory letters to the taxpayer.

The tax office stated that the seizure is a legally mandated enforcement action intended to improve taxpayer compliance. It aims to create a compliance effect and reinforce order in tax obligation fulfillment.
