Finance Minister to Launch Complaint Channel for Tax and Customs

Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa announced that an official complaint channel will be launched the next day. The statement was made at Tanjung Priok port in Jakarta on Monday, 13 October 2025.

The channel will operate through WhatsApp using two separate numbers—one for taxpayers and another for customs users. It is intended to collect reports of illegal levies by staff of the Directorate General of Taxation (DJP) and the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC). A dedicated team will monitor the submissions and forward them directly to the minister.

The direct line to the Ministry of Finance enables businesses to report misconduct promptly. The initiative aims to improve accountability of DJP and DJBC officials and reduce unofficial costs for exporters and importers.
