DJP Urges Taxpayers to Activate Coretax Accounts Anywhere Online

The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) is urging all taxpayers to self‑activate their Coretax accounts ahead of the 2025 annual tax return filing, which is scheduled for 2026. Activation can be performed from any location with internet access. The announcement was posted on DJP’s social media on 26 October 2025.

Taxpayers should visit the official site . and click the red ‘Activate Taxpayer Account’ button at the bottom of the page. They must then complete the Digital Access Request portal with their Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP), registered email, phone number, and a photo for identity verification.

Account activation is deemed essential for smooth administration of the 2025 tax return, which will be processed through the Coretax system. DJP aims to receive about 14 million returns, but only 2.6 million taxpayers have activated accounts so far. Greater activation is expected to speed up filing and reduce administrative burdens.
