Customs Provides ATA Carnet Facility for Blackpink Concert at GBK
November 4, 2025 • Ben Asmadeus

South Korean girl group Blackpink performed at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium in Jakarta on 1–2 November 2025. Indonesia’s Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) provided an ATA Carnet facility to facilitate the event.
An ATA Carnet is an international customs document that acts as a ‘goods passport’, allowing temporary import and export without customs duties or import taxes. The carnet enabled all stage equipment and logistics to enter Indonesia through a streamlined yet regulated process, with physical inspections still carried out by customs officers.
The use of an ATA Carnet reflects government support for large international events, helping to ensure smooth logistics and lower costs for organizers. Similar carnet arrangements are employed worldwide for exhibitions, film productions, sports competitions, and touring music groups.
