Coretax Requires Internet Connection for Annual Tax Return

Jakarta, October 27, 2025 – Taxpayers cannot complete the Annual Tax Return through the Coretax system unless their device is connected to the internet. An active internet connection is required for the filing data to be saved.
First‑class Tax Advisor Imaduddin Zauki of the Directorate General of Taxes said this differs from the e‑form used in the DJP Online era, which allowed filing offline. He noted that a lost connection triggers a red notification and prevents the entry from being stored.
Coretax has been mandatory for the 2025 tax year, with filing deadlines of March 31, 2026 for individuals and April 30, 2026 for corporations. The tax authority has also launched an online simulator to let taxpayers practice using Coretax.
