Tax Authority Sets November 2025 Tax Penalty Interest Rates

JAKARTA – The Ministry of Finance, via Ministerial Decree No. 8/MK/EF/2025, established the monthly interest rates used to calculate tax administrative penalties and interest refunds for the period 1–30 November 2025. The decree was signed by Director General of Economic and Fiscal Strategy Febrio Nathan Kacaribu on 30 October 2025.

Five monthly rates are set, ranging from 0.51 % to 2.17 %, which are lower than the rates applied in October 2025. The rates are derived by adding an uplift factor to the reference rate set by the minister, then dividing the result by twelve; the interest refund rate is fixed at 0.51 %.

The lower rates reduce the interest cost for taxpayers subject to administrative penalties. The new rates serve as the basis for companies and tax advisors to compute fines and interest refunds, and trends can be followed on the DDTCNews Indicator channel.
