Indonesia Ministry Unveils IT‑Integrated Tax Control Framework

JAKARTA, 4 November 2025 – Indonesia’s Ministry of Finance is developing a Tax Control Framework (TCF) integrated with information technology. The framework aims to build a trust‑based, collaborative tax compliance system.

Senior Treasury Official Iwan Djuniardi said the TCF will enable cooperative compliance, allowing large companies to submit transaction histories and tax returns through a digital platform. The project involves academics, practitioners and tax consultants, with a pilot program for large taxpayers slated for next year.

If implemented successfully, the TCF could lower compliance costs while raising overall compliance rates, and accelerate digital transformation in tax administration. The approach mirrors industrial quality‑control systems to achieve a “zero non‑compliance” objective.
