DGT Revokes Tax Invoice Access for Taxpayers Failing Income Tax
November 8, 2025 • Ben Asmadeus

The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) has revoked electronic tax invoice creation rights for taxpayers who have not fulfilled their Income Tax (PPh) obligations. The announcement was made by DGT Director of Outreach, Services, and Public Relations, Rosmauli, on 8 November 2025. Access to issue invoices will remain disabled until the tax debt is settled.
The deactivation follows DGT’s policy of using Income Tax compliance as a criterion for comprehensive tax compliance. The integrated Coretax system enables the authority to monitor obligations and automatically suspend services. The measure aims to strengthen tax administration and boost state revenue.
For businesses, loss of invoice issuance capability can delay billing and sales recording, affecting cash flow. Taxpayers are expected to clear their Income Tax liabilities to restore the right. The policy underscores the role of tax compliance in maintaining fiscal stability.
