PT Bukit Asam Posts Net Profit of IDR 1.4 Trillion Sep 2025

PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) reported a net profit of IDR 1.4 trillion for the January‑September 2025 period, despite a continued decline in global coal prices. The financial results were disclosed in Jakarta on 31 October 2025. Total revenue reached IDR 31.3 trillion.

Revenue grew 2 % year‑on‑year, driven by an 8 % rise in sales volume and a 9 % increase in production, while the average selling price fell 6 % as global coal indices slipped. Management highlighted cost‑efficiency measures and domestic market diversification as key to preserving profitability.

EBITDA amounted to IDR 3.6 trillion with an 11 % margin, and capital expenditure reached IDR 3 trillion, representing 41 % of the annual target and funding strategic logistics projects. Domestic sales accounted for 56 % of total revenue, underscoring the company's reliance on the Indonesian market.
