November 2, 2025 • Ben Asmadeus

Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa said on 2 November 2025 in Jakarta that Indonesia’s 8 percent national economic growth target remains achievable. He stressed the need for active synergy among all stakeholders, including central and regional governments, businesses, and the public.
Purbaya explained that reaching the target requires effective management of the state budget and a conducive investment climate. According to BPS, Indonesia’s economy grew 5.12 percent year‑on‑year in Q2 2025, up from 5.05 percent a year earlier, while neighboring Vietnam recorded 8 percent growth.
Achieving the 8 percent goal would boost tax revenues, create jobs, and strengthen household purchasing power. The government will monitor spending implementation to ensure every rupiah of the budget is absorbed efficiently.
