Purbaya: Government Stability Strong for Public, Not Hasan Nasbi

Jakarta, 27 October 2025 – Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa stated that government stability is strong in the eyes of the public, responding to remarks by former Presidential Chief of Staff Hasan Nasbi. Nasbi argued that Purbaya’s communication style could weaken governmental solidity.

Purbaya said all policies are based on official data and surveys, citing the latest Lembaga Penjamin Simpanan (LPS) survey which shows public confidence remained stable after a dip from July to September. He added that decisive and swift measures helped restore public sentiment.

He noted that consumer confidence closely follows economic conditions; a better economy leads to more positive public perception of the government. Purbaya also pledged to ensure government spending is absorbed on schedule to accelerate growth in the fourth quarter of 2025.
