Prabowo Orders All Ministers to Use Maung Vehicles Next Year

President Prabowo Subianto ordered all cabinet ministers to use the Maung as their official vehicle. The Maung is a 4x4 produced by state‑owned defense firm PT Pindad. The directive was announced during a full cabinet meeting on 21 October 2025.

Prabowo noted he has been driving a Maung since taking office and stressed the need for leaders to set an example by using domestically produced cars, even though he still enjoys other models like the Alphard. Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa confirmed that funds have been allocated for the purchase, but warned that PT Pindad currently lacks the capacity to supply enough Maung for the entire cabinet. He said the rollout will depend on the company's production readiness next year.
