Palembang Hits 65% Tax Goal, Targets Rp408 Billion by Year‑End

The Palembang City Regional Revenue Office reported tax receipts of Rp761.5 billion as of mid‑October 2025, representing 65.09% of the Rp1.17 trillion target. The amount includes payments from 14 local tax types. The city aims to meet the full-year tax goal by year‑end.
Most taxes are close to their goals, such as the non‑PLN electricity tax at 94.03% of target, and food‑beverage and hotel taxes at 80.89% and 80.52% respectively. In contrast, taxes like parking services, arts‑entertainment services, and property tax (PBB‑P2) remain below 76% of their targets. Revenues from non‑metal mineral tax (28.13%) and swiftlet‑nest tax (13.84%) are especially low.
To reach the Rp1.17 trillion goal, the office must collect roughly Rp408.5 billion in the remaining two months. Head Marhaen expressed confidence that the 2025 target can be achieved or exceeded. Achieving the target will support the city’s budget and public services.
