Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has opened a dedicated WhatsApp line called “Lapor Pak Purbaya” (0822‑4040‑6600) for the public to report tax, customs and excise officers. Reporters must include their full name and email address. The initiative aims to strengthen integrity and transparency in tax administration.

Director General of Taxation Bimo Wijayanto said the average effective rate (TER) used for withholding PPh 21 has been in force for more than 1.5 years and is now being evaluated together with the Ministry’s Fiscal Strategy Directorate. The government is also reviewing the PPh 21 DTP incentive to see whether it boosts employee spending and prevents layoffs. Meanwhile, the proposal for a family office, promoted by DEN chairman Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, continues to be discussed as a way to attract domestic and foreign investment with a zero‑percent tax incentive in its early stage.
