Local Governments Asked to Verify Recipients of Additional BLT

The government has asked local authorities to help ensure the additional cash transfer (BLT) reaches its 35.04 million beneficiary families. Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf stressed that aid should target households in the first to fourth income deciles. This aims to make public spending more effective.

Local governments must conduct field verification because the recipient database is constantly changing, including checking 14 million new households within five days. Verified data will be passed to PT Pos Indonesia for distribution through Himbara banks. They are also tasked with educating recipients on proper use of the funds.

The additional BLT program is funded with Rp30 trillion, giving each family Rp300,000 per month from October to December 2025, totaling Rp900,000.
