KPK Calls for Multi‑Door Tax Enforcement at DJP Rapimnas III

KPK chair Setyo Budiyanto emphasized the need to strengthen tax enforcement through a multi‑door approach at the DJP Rapimnas III meeting held last week in Jakarta. The event gathered more than 500 DJP leaders from across the regions on 13 October 2025.
Setyo explained that tax enforcement should go beyond administrative procedures and involve money‑laundering (TPPU) and corruption cases to create a real deterrent effect. He noted Indonesia’s 2024 Corruption Perception Index scored 37 out of 100, indicating a need for deeper reform. The multi‑door approach is seen as essential to close gaps between tax evasion, illicit enrichment, and other financial crimes.
KPK pledged to deepen cooperation with the Ministry of Finance, BPKP, and other law‑enforcement agencies under the national anti‑corruption strategy. DJP chief Bimo Wijayanto affirmed full support for the initiative, including handling illicit enrichment cases. Both agencies expect the measures to boost fairness, transparency, and public confidence in the tax system.
