November 5, 2025 • Ben Asmadeus

The Indonesian government announced that the national economy expanded by 5.04 percent in the third quarter of 2025 year‑on‑year. The figures were released by the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs in Jakarta.
This growth rate exceeds the 4.95 percent recorded for the same quarter in 2024, according to data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS). Coordinating Minister Airlangga Hartarto said the government aims for an average annual growth of 5.2 percent and will provide social assistance worth 30 trillion rupiah. President Prabowo Subianto is set to hold a limited meeting to discuss the latest economic developments.
Keeping growth above the 5 percent threshold supports consumer purchasing power and signals a stable macro‑economic environment. Authorities intend to boost performance in the fourth quarter of 2025 to meet the yearly target.
