Indonesia Ranked Third Largest Economy in G20, Says Minister

Jakarta, 6 November 2025 – Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said Indonesia’s economy remains solid and ranks third among the 20 member countries of the Group of Twenty (G20). He made the statement during a press briefing.
He highlighted government support through household consumption, Gross Fixed Capital Formation (PMTB) and People’s Credit (KUR) for housing amounting to Rp130 trillion, with a supply side of Rp117 trillion and a ceiling of up to Rp20 billion. An additional stimulus of Rp30 trillion and KUR funding of Rp50 trillion are maintained, covering about 800,000 borrowers with an average loan of Rp50 million, totalling Rp40 trillion.
According to BPS, economic growth was 4.87 % in Q1 2025, 5.12 % in Q2 and 5.04 % in Q3, a slight slowdown but still above the same period in 2024. Household consumption contributed 53.14 % and PMTB 29.09 % of GDP, together accounting for 82.23 % of the economic structure. The government is optimistic that Q4 can approach the annual growth target of 5.2 %.
