Government Starts Internship Batch 2 for 80,000 Graduates

The government officially launched the National Internship Batch 2, aiming to place more than 80,000 university graduates. Organizer registration runs from 24 October to 5 November 2025, followed by participant registration from 6 to 12 November. The program was announced on 17 October 2025.

The process continues with candidate selection between 12 and 20 November, announcement of selected interns on 21 November, and the start of internships on 24 November 2025. Interns will receive a monthly allowance equal to the regional minimum wage and are covered by job‑loss and death insurance. Barenbang Labor head Anwar Sanusi said the scheme aims to raise workforce competence through direct industry experience.

The initiative reflects the government’s commitment to improve the quality of Indonesia’s labor force. By offering real‑world work exposure and insurance protection, graduates are expected to enhance their skills and employability. The program could boost overall productivity and create more job opportunities for young people.
