Finance Minister Purbaya to Announce Coretax Fix Results Friday

Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi said he will announce the Coretax system fix results on Friday, ahead of the end‑October deadline. The statement follows his earlier promise to complete the upgrade by the end of the month.

Coretax has been plagued by bugs and frequent outages that slow tax collection. An external IT team has been brought in to resolve the issues, aiming to improve efficiency and boost tax revenues.

The Directorate General of Taxes cannot make direct changes to Coretax while a post‑implementation support contract with the vendor remains in effect until December 15, 2025.
