DJP Reports 2.6 Million Taxpayers Have Activated Coretax

The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) recorded that about 2.05 million individual taxpayers and 550 thousand corporate taxpayers have activated their Coretax accounts this year. This brings the total of activated users to roughly 2.6 million, far below the agency’s goal of 14 million. DJP hopes the figure will rise quickly.

Nevertheless, only around half of those users have registered a digital authorization code or a digital certificate (sertel), which are required for electronic signatures. DJP Director General Bimo Wijayanto urged taxpayers to complete the registration promptly. The code and sertel serve as verification tools for filing the 2024 annual tax return electronically.

Taxpayers can activate Coretax by clicking the red ‘Activate Taxpayer Account’ button at the bottom of the Coretax portal (coretaxdjp.pajak.go.id). After activation, they must obtain a code or sertel through the approved electronic certificate providers.
