DJP Improves Coretax Security, Full Control Expected by Dec 2025

The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) is upgrading the Coretax system to support tax administration for both taxpayers and the tax office. Dirjen Bimo Wijayanto said Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has brought in IT specialists to accelerate the work, focusing on strengthening system security.

Bimo explained that the government cannot directly modify Coretax because the system is still under the vendor’s warranty. Full control will be transferred only after the warranty expires in December 2025.

Once full control is obtained, DJP plans to conduct a stress test and an information‑system audit before 15 December 2025. The audit will verify the deliverables promised by the Korean vendor.
