DJP Boosts Collaboration with Law Enforcement for Tax Crime

The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) held a joint training with law‑enforcement agencies on 21 October 2025 in Bandung. The event brought together 100 judges, prosecutors, police officers and investigators from West Java and the Jakarta‑Bogor‑Depok‑Tangerang‑Bekasi region.
The training aims to harmonize the understanding of tax‑crime investigation, prosecution and sentencing. Director General Bimo Wijayanto said consistent enforcement will boost tax compliance and revenue. The session builds on the DJP‑Prosecutor cooperation established through a 2020 MoU.
The collaboration is expected to create a deterrent effect against tax evasion and help meet the 2025 revenue target. Deputy Chief Justice Suharto of the Supreme Court praised the initiative as strengthening inter‑agency coordination for national development.
