Banyuwangi Tax Office Teams with Prosecutors and Satpol PP

The Banyuwangi regional tax office has launched a tax‑compliance enforcement operation. It is being carried out together with the district prosecutor’s office, the local tax office and Satpol PP. The focus is on restaurants and eateries that have not fulfilled their tax obligations.

Head of the tax office, Samsudin, said several transactions were missing from the regional tax reports. He stressed that tax should be collected on every bill and remitted to the local government. Yet many establishments have failed to report or remit the collected tax.

The operation is considered a last‑resort measure after prior clarification attempts yielded no results. The office hopes businesses will become more transparent and receive assistance in meeting their tax duties.
