ADB Approves $500 Million Loan to Boost Indonesia’s

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) approved a policy loan of US$500 million, roughly Rp8.29 trillion, for Indonesia on 15 October 2025. The financing is part of the Competitiveness, Industrial Modernization, and Trade Acceleration (CITA) program.
The loan will fund the third sub‑program of CITA, targeting enhanced competitiveness, green growth, and faster trade. ADB’s Indonesia director Jiro Tominaga said the policy reforms will attract green investment, lower trade barriers, and empower women‑owned businesses in regional areas.
The assistance supports Indonesia’s goal of attaining high‑income‑country status by 2045 by improving the investment climate, aiding micro, small and medium enterprises, and expanding the green industry to address climate risks.
