Surakarta Samsat Launches Evening Vehicle Tax Service

The Surakarta police traffic office has launched a ‘Samsat Evening’ service operating Monday through Saturday from 15:00 to 19:00 Western Indonesian Time. The service lets residents pay vehicle tax (PKB) and related fees after regular office hours.
Traffic Chief Kompol Agung Yudiawan said the initiative aims to help citizens who cannot visit during daytime work hours. It provides payment of PKB, the mandatory accident fund (SWDKLLJ), and annual renewal of the Vehicle Registration Certificate (STNK).
The evening service is intended to boost vehicle tax compliance and contribute to Surakarta’s 2025 local revenue target of IDR 930.88 billion, including a regional tax goal of IDR 640 billion. It aligns with the city’s broader tax‑expansion program ‘Gerakan Sapu Jagat 2025’ and data integration with the Directorate General of Taxes.
