Indonesia Tax Revenue Sep 2025 Down 4.4% to Rp1.295 Trillion

The Finance Ministry recorded Indonesia’s tax revenue up to September 2025 at Rp1.2953 trillion, a 4.4 % decline from the same period last year. The figures were released on 14 October 2025.
The drop is linked to lower coal and palm‑oil prices, which reduced income‑tax (PPh) and value‑added tax (PPN) collections, although manufacturing and trade sectors continued to contribute. Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa said the pressure stems from falling commodity prices.
Consequently, tax receipts represent only 62.4 % of the 2025 outlook and 59.1 % of the fiscal‑year target, while customs and excise revenue rose 7.1 % to Rp221.3 trillion, highlighting budget strain and high tax refunds this year.
