Finance Minister Purbaya Orders Action on Early‑Morning Rp300,000

On 24 October 2025, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa received a complaint via the ‘Lapor Pak Purbaya’ WhatsApp channel that an Account Representative (AR) of the Tigaraksa Tax Office demanded payment of Rp300,000 at 05:41 a.m. and threatened to withdraw the taxpayer’s PKP (Taxable Entrepreneur) status if the amount was not paid.
In response, the minister instructed the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) to act. DJP’s Director of Outreach, Rosmauli, clarified that the AR’s letter was an “imbauan” (reminder) rather than an official tax collection notice, and noted that Ministerial Regulation No. 61/2023 governs collection procedures but does not prescribe a specific time, emphasizing professional conduct and communication ethics.
The DJP will provide coaching to the AR on proper communication and compliance with the regulation, while taxpayers are urged to settle any arrears promptly. The measure underscores the tax authority’s aim to enforce fiscal fairness without compromising taxpayer rights.
